FIRST YEAR ANIVERSARY CELEBRATION

The completion of the first year of the Gallery saw an important change wherein Chithiraalayam Art Gallery was renamed as Chithiraalayam Museum of Popular art. To commemorate the completion an event was organized on 28/04/2024 to honor Artist Jeyaraj a prolific contributor of illustrations to all the major magazines and periodicals for over 5 decades. This event was well attended by a number of artists and others. During this event Jeyaraj also gave a demonstration of his artistic flair which was followed by a question and answer session laced with humor and snippets of art.

Chithiraalayam in its journey forward will be organizing periodic workshops and also make the facility available to artists who need a forum to display their works.
